World Architecture Festival, Amsterdam
November 30, 2018
Michael Kollin, Paul Altomare and Christopher Alex attended the 2018 World Architecture Festival (WAF) at the RAI in Amsterdam November 28-30.

WAF is a three-day event where architects, interior design professionals and the world architecture community meet to celebrate, learn, exchange ideas and be inspired. The Festival is dedicated to celebrating, sharing and inspiring outstanding architecture. It's the only architecture event where keynote talks from the industry’s most influential figures sit alongside live judging presentations from over 500 award finalists, plus global networking and an international product exhibition.

You can see keynote talks and the 2018 category winners here:  https://worldarchitecturefestival.com

Day 2 included a City Tour of the Superlofts Houthaven, new flexible and sustainable housing blocks--one of five built in Amsterdam thus far. The prefabricated concrete structures become a small-scale community in the city where people share spaces and resources to move from ownership to access. The Superlofts recently won the WAN Award ’18 for Best Regional Residential Concept in Europe.
