Bob Villanueva and Bryan Pliez Promoted

We are pleased to announce the promotions of Bob Villanueva to Senior Associate, and Bryan Pliez to Associate.

Based in our Long Beach office, Bob joined Kollin Altomare in 2004 as senior project manager and brings to the team over 20 years of architectural design and management experience. Bob leads the development of construction documents and code compliance on a variety of projects and directs the firm’s QA/QC practices to ensure that quality standards and precise documents are implemented on every project.

Bob’s experience includes the design and management of numerous hospitality, commercial, residential, and mixed-use developments. Among his most recent hotel/resort renovation projects are the Hotel June, Los Angeles, CA; Marriott Frenchman’s Reef & Noni Beach Resort, St. Thomas, USVI; Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort Hotel, AZ; Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico; and Loews Hotel, Santa Monica, CA. Bob obtained his B.S. in Architecture at Far Eastern University in Manila, Philippines.

After joining our Long Beach office in 2014, Bryan quickly became “BP,” and a fixture in our family culture. Committed to a meticulous yet efficient approach to his work, he brings a rare level of critical thinking, leadership, and energy to every project. From master planning design to massive renovation jobs to complete, ground-up new construction projects, BP plays an instrumental role in not only meeting our clients’ expectations but blowing them away.

BP’s experience has included an assortment of luxury hospitality and mixed-use projects, including the Hotel Anthem, Hilton Tapestry Hotel in Columbia, SC; Marriott Frenchman’s Reef & Noni Beach Resort Renovation, St. Thomas, USVI; Four Seasons Hotel Renovation – Austin, TX; Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel, CA; The Lasky Boutique Hotel – Beverly Hills, CA; The Mix Retail/Residential Plaza, San Gabriel, CA; and Surya Spa at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel, CA. Bryan received his Bachelor of Architecture from the NewSchool of Architecture + Design in San Diego, CA.
