Southern California Development Forum (SCDF) LA Event
The Greening of Towers
March 12, 2024
The Greening of Towers panel at the Southern California Development Forum (SCDF) featured a great line up of panelists and conversation about enhancing the value of developments through biophilia. Biophilic designs are innovative ways of incorporating nature into buildings and modern architecture, increasing the connection between the occupants with the natural environment.
Michael Kollin and Hudson Deaton attended the event held at The Biltmore Los Angeles. It was interesting to learn more about some of the most exciting related/sustainable developments underway in Southern California, including: 1950 Avenue of the Stars, One Beverly Luxury Residential, and Midway Rising. According to SCDF, the path forward is up from luxury condos to landmark office towers to affordable residential high rises.
Thank you to moderator Abbey Ehman of Creative Artists Agency, and speakers including Lynn N. Simon, FAIA, LEED Fellow of Arup, Lauren Eckhart Smith of Cain Development, and Jim Andersen of Chelsea Investment Corporation.
