Long Beach Office Open House & Ribbon Cutting Ceremony
Grand Opening Celebration
June 20, 2019
Together with our clients, collaborators, staff and friends, we celebrated the opening of our new corporate office in the Terminal at Douglas Park, just down the street from the Long Beach Airport.
The Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce was on hand to mark the special occasion with a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially welcome us to the neighborhood. (Pictured from left: Ingrid Kollin, Richard Lewis of Urbana Development, Paul Altomare, Michael Kollin, Christopher Alex, Shawn McCullough of Lee & Associates, and Cindy Wasserman.) We were delighted to also be presented with a Certificate of Recognition from the City of Long Beach, delivered personally from Mayor Robert Garcia's Office.
In February, we moved from our previous facility in the Design District of Long Beach after more than a ten year stay. "As we have been fortunate to experience growth in our organization with the culmination of new and exciting projects and clients over the last several years, it's great to finally be settled into our new and expanded space--one that better accommodates our staff and offers a creative environment focused on collaboration, creativity, and open spaces," said Michael Kollin, president & CEO.
As architects and designers, we had the advantage of designing the space to suit our specific needs and sense of taste. Our dedicated office design team (led by Michael Kollin, Paul Altomare, Bob Villanueva, and Kira Hutnick) worked hard to ensure the finished product would provide the required accommodations and comforts to help us be as productive as possible. We think they more than accomplished the goal!
The office, designed in an industrial modern motif with concrete floors and exposed metal decking ceilings, incorporates sustainable design solutions such as recycled content materials, efficient building systems and indigenous plantings that result in a more healthful building, improved work environment, and natural resources conservation.
Thanks to everyone who joined us to celebrate, and a huge thanks to our instrumental and fantastic partners and vendors: Urbana Development LLC; Norm Wilson & Sons, Inc.; IMEG Corp; Lighting Design Studio, LLC; GROHE / LIXIL Water Technology Americas; Lee & Associates Commercial Real Estate Services; and Wells Fargo.
