David Smith and Rudy Calderon Promoted

We are pleased to announce the promotions of architectural designers David Smith and Rudy Calderon to Senior Job Captain.
Based in our Long Beach office, Rudy joined Kollin Altomare in 2018 as job captain and brings to the team over 12 years of architectural design and management experience. Rudy has contributed to numerous hospitality, commercial, and residential projects. Among his most recent hotel/resort renovation efforts are the Hotel June, Los Angeles, CA; Surya Spa at the Santa Monica Proper Hotel, CA; and the Viceroy L’Ermitage, Beverly Hills, CA. Rudy obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from USC, School of Architecture in Los Angeles.
David Smith joined our Chicago office in 2018 and brings to the team over 10 years of architectural experience along with dynamic energy and productivity. His experience includes a broad spectrum of projects—from hospitality, residential, and commercial, to healthcare, mixed-use and urban developments. His most recent projects include the Marriott Frenchman’s Reef & Noni Beach Resort, a $300 million renovation encompassing two hotels and over 478 rooms in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. David received his Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Science in Architecture from Ball State University, Muncie.
