Brian Husting Promoted to Principal & Director of Design

We are pleased to announce that Brian Husting has been promoted to Principal & Director of Design.
Based in our Long Beach office, Brian joined Kollin Altomare in 2008 as senior architectural designer and brings to the team over 30 years of architectural design and management experience. As a licensed architect, LEED Accredited Professional, and Director of Design, he leads the design team and provides unique solutions and insight—from concept design through construction implementation. “Brian plays an integral role in the design and direction of the firm’s projects, with an emphasis on creativity and a client-centered approach,” stated Michael Kollin, President & CEO.
With a specialization in hospitality design, Brian’s portfolio of work includes over 100 hospitality and leisure projects throughout the U.S. and around the globe. He has been involved in the planning and design of some of the firm’s largest projects which have included numerous urban and resort hotels, retail, and mixed-use developments—some of which include the Apuane Spa at the Four Seasons Resort, Punta Mita, Mexico; Hilton Tapestry - Hotel Anthem, Columbia, SC; Parkwest Casino Lotus in Sacramento, CA; and San Gabriel Plaza Mixed-Use/Retail. His current efforts include the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort Conversion, Dana Point, CA; Maybourne Hotel Renovation in Beverly Hills, CA; and the Pechanga Resort & Casino Renovation & Expansion in Temecula, CA.
A California native, Brian graduated from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science with Architecture Honors.
Before joining Kollin Altomare, Brian had accumulated well over 20 years of experience as Associate Vice President and Senior Designer with WATG in Irvine, CA. During his tenure at WATG, he led design and planning efforts on more than 60 prestigious and award-winning hotels and resorts around the globe.
