Autodesk University (AU)
Design and Make Conference
October 15, 2024
Michael Kollin attended the AutoDesk University (AU 2024) Conference to stay up to date with all the leading technology needed to support a growing design practice and increase productivity. Held at the San Diego Convention Center, AU brings together creatives from architecture, engineering, construction, product design, manufacturing, media, and entertainment.

There was so much to take in at this year’s “Design & Make” Conference with a multitude of learning opportunities and key topics such as:

  • Advancing sustainable architecture and exploring carbon reduction in building materials

  • Streamlining data extraction from Revit models

  • AI possibilities for human-centric design

  • Workflows tailored to design teams, clients, and codes

Thanks to NAVVIS for allowing us to test drive the VLX 360-degree scanner, and to Ohan Oumoudian, principal at GeoDecisions by Gannett Fleming TranSystems for hosting a great dinner and conversations supporting the fields of Architecture and Engineering.

The conference was topped off by a concert in the Gaslamp District.

Driven by creative problem solvers, AU’s Design & Make community unites us in our journey to design and make a better world for all. Autodesk will be at the heart of designing and making the LA28 Games.
