Monarch Beach Resort, Dana Point Conversion
Rebranding to Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort
September 30, 2020
We're thrilled to begin working with Ohana Real Estate Investors on the iconic Monarch Beach Resort conversion project. Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Hilton's iconic luxury hotel brand, recently announced the upcoming debut of the Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club in Dana Point, California.
Together with Whitespace Interiors we are involved in the early stages of the 175-acre resort renovation and rebranding to include master planning and design encompassing 400 guestrooms and suites, public areas, and site amenities.
The hotel boasts 400 luxurious and tech-savvy guestrooms, a state-of-the-art spa, seven gourmet restaurants, an 18-hole golf course designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. and a private beach club. The resort, which first opened its doors to guests in 2001, was a St. Regis at opening and parted ways with that brand in 2016. It was purchased by Ohana Real Estate Investors in 2019. The property will become part of the Waldorf Astoria brand on January 3, 2021.
“It’s fitting that the storied Waldorf Astoria brand is coming to Dana Point—which is one of the most iconic beachfront communities in California,” said James Cole, Ohana Real Estate Investors partner.” The Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is a welcome addition to the Ohana portfolio of luxury properties. This partnership will elevate the entire resort experience.”
