Check out the latest inhabitants at the new Outer Reef restaurant to open soon at the Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort & Spa in Dana Point, California. We recently completed a $3+ million renovation of the hotel’s restaurant and bar, renamed Outer Reef, which features a new 1,000-gallon saltwater aquarium by Oceans Aquarium Design. Two horn sharks have just been added to the tank, joining more than 30 other fish. The two-sided tank can be seen from both the bar and the private dining/meeting room on the other side.

Chef John Tesar, a four-time James Beard-nominated chef, and contestant on Bravo’s “Top Chef”, will showcase the property’s renowned beachfront location with a curated sea-to-table surf and turf dining concept, providing guests with an experience of the highest quality.

Key team members include senior designer Brian Husting; project manager William Martin; Oceans Aquarium Design; Design Atelier (interiors); The Sam Tell companies (kitchen consultant); MHP (structural); BKF (MEP); Eng (civil); Greey Pickett (landscape); Builders; and Kloss Group (project management).

Other renovations underway by our team include upgrades to the hotel's entry drive and exterior function lawn.
