Kollin Altomare Designer Racing in Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach
April 12, 2019
Our most recent designer to join our team, Nicolai Elghanayan, will race in the 45th Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach with the Pirelli GT4 America series April 13-14.  Nicolai invited Michael Kollin to test the track with him on Media Day to experience the 1.97-mile, 11-turn street circuit that surrounds the Long Beach Convention Center and encompasses the Aquarium of the Pacific and a portion of The Pike Outlets complex. The start/finish line is on Shoreline Drive.

"Kollin Altomare is thrilled to be participating in Nicolai’s race program this year," said Michael Kollin, President & CEO, Kollin Altomare. "As a long-time motorsports race fan and admirer of extremely fast cars, I'm really looking forward to witnessing his transformation from humble designer, to no-holds-barred race car driver at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach."

Nicolai races the No. 71 KTM X-Bow with MarcoPolo Motorsports, and recently announced his return to the SRO Motorsports GT4 America series (Pirelli World Challenge GTS class). He kicked off the 2019 season March 9th at the Grand Prix of St. Petersburg in Florida, and in between designing hospitality projects with Kollin Altomare, he will run the full sprint season, consisting of eight double header race weekends.

Nicolai joined the Kollin Altomare team last year as designer, following his graduation from USC Architecture School. During the off season, Nicolai participates in charity events, using his sports car racing career to raise money for non-profit foundations. To show our support for one of his favorite charities, we’ve made a $2,000 donation to CHOC Children's Foundation in his honor. The weekend event at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach draws approximately 185,000 spectators making it one of the largest paid spectator special events in Southern California. For more on the event see https://gplb.com
